Auction result well in line with expectations

In June last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Marcos Grigorian UnearthedWorks from the Artist's Estate, which included the work Piazza del Popolo by Marcos Grigorian. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,826.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcos Grigorian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm in June last year with an auction result of USD 315,375.00 (€ 301,246.54).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Marcos Grigorian UnearthedWorks from the Artist's Estate durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piazza del Popolo von Marcos Grigorian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.826,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcos Grigorian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.375,00 (€ 301.246,54).
