Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections, which included the work Life Tree #16 by Marcos Grigorian. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,437.32), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcos Grigorian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm in June last year with an auction result of USD 315,375.00 (€ 301,246.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIraqi Masterpieces from the Jawdat, Madhloom and Selim Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Life Tree #16 von Marcos Grigorian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.437,32) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcos Grigorian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Horizontal & Vertical Earthwork each panel 188 x 188 cm im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 315.375,00 (€ 301.246,54).
