Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marco Maggi could be acquired at Phillips in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin America auction, the work Turner Box (Paper on Johns) changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,325.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marco Maggi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,542.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marco Maggi konnte im November 2015 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin America wechselte die Arbeit Turner Box (Paper on Johns) für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.325,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marco Maggi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.542,45).
