Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nadchodzący (Forthcoming) by Marcin Łukasiewicz was sold in the Saturday@Phillips auction at Phillips in London in March 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,021.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcin Łukasiewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bad Dream, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,895.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nadchodzący (Forthcoming) von Marcin Łukasiewicz wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.021,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcin Łukasiewicz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bad Dream beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.895,69) versteigert wurde.
