Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A child's supper by Marcel Rieder was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2003. The price achieved of EUR 1,792.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marcel Rieder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les bulles in May this year with an auction result of EUR 9,562.50.

Die Arbeit A child's supper von Marcel Rieder kam im September 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.792,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Rieder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les bulles im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.562,50.
