Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,550.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcel François Leprin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eglise St-Pierre à Montmartre, which sold at auction in April 2005 for EUR 10,200.00.

Die Arbeit Rue Drevet, Montmartre von Marcel François Leprin kam im November 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.550,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcel François Leprin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eglise St-Pierre à Montmartre beobachtet, die im April 2005 für EUR 10.200,00 versteigert wurde.
