In March 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale !, which included the work Birds by Marcel Delmotte. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 780.00 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Delmotte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Colonnes D’Hercule in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,079.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Kerseboom Unlimited; a no reserve sale ! durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds von Marcel Delmotte zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 780,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Delmotte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Colonnes D’Hercule im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.079,71).
