Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marc Newson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2015. In the Contemporary Art and Design Evening Sale auction, the work "Extruded Table 2" sold for USD 179,000.00 (€ 166,651.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Newson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lockheed Lounge in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Newson erzielte im März 2015 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art and Design Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit "Extruded Table 2" für USD 179.000,00 (€ 166.651,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07).
