This artwork by Marc Newson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2015. In the '1 in 11' Auction auction, the work Doha Lounge Chair sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,918.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Newson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lockheed Lounge in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Newson erzielte im Februar 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion '1 in 11' Auction wurde die Arbeit Doha Lounge Chair für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 37.918,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07).
