Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Proposal by Marc Handelman was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 813.00 (€ 573.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marc Handelman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jubilee, 2004 in September 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,226.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Proposal von Marc Handelman kam im März 2011 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 813,00 (€ 573,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Handelman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jubilee, 2004 im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.226,64).
