Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homme Et Femme Avec Une Épée by Marc Eemans was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,386.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marc Eemans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kallomorphose V. in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 22,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.386,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Eemans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kallomorphose V. im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.500,00.
