Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mao Xuhui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Human Figure in White: Escape sold for HKD 1,720,000.00 (€ 198,800.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mao Xuhui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work '92 Paternalism in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 11,860,000.00 (€ 1,171,807.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mao Xuhui erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Human Figure in White: Escape für HKD 1.720.000,00 (€ 198.800,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mao Xuhui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit '92 Paternalism im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.860.000,00 (€ 1.171.807,30).
