This artwork by Mao Lizi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work without title sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,221.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Lizi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 455,266.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mao Lizi erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.221,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Lizi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.880.000,00 (€ 455.266,51).
