Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Affection by Manuel Viola was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2000. Here, the upper estimate of NLG 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for NLG 3,510.60 (€ 1,498.03). Admittedly, works by Manuel Viola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sin Título in October 2004 with an auction result of EUR 10,157.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Affection von Manuel Viola kam im Juni 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von NLG 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für NLG 3.510,60 (€ 1.498,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Viola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sin Título im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.157,50.
