The work Chinacos by Manuel Serrano was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2011. The »bidding war« ended at USD 56,250.00 (€ 39,127.71), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel Serrano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Escena De Venta in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 168,750.00 (€ 159,529.21).

Die Arbeit Chinacos von Manuel Serrano wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 39.127,71) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Serrano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Escena De Venta im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.750,00 (€ 159.529,21).
