In May 2018 Il Ponte held the auction Dipinti e sculture XIX e XX Secolo, which included the work Figure a cavallo by Manuel Serrano. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 22,000.00 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel Serrano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Escena De Venta in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 168,750.00 (€ 159,529.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Dipinti e sculture XIX e XX Secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure a cavallo von Manuel Serrano zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 22.000,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Serrano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Escena De Venta im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.750,00 (€ 159.529,21).
