Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled III by Manuel Neri. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,467.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel Neri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 196,759.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled III von Manuel Neri zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.467,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Neri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.000,00 (€ 196.759,26).
