Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sweetwater No. 3, 1995 by Manuel Neri was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 5,213.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Neri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 196,759.26).
