This artwork by Manuel Hernández Mompó achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Madrid in October 2004. In the ARTE ESPANOL auction, the work Alaró sold for EUR 26,290.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Hernández Mompó - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mercado, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 60,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Manuel Hernández Mompó erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Madrid einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion ARTE ESPANOL wurde die Arbeit Alaró für EUR 26.290,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Hernández Mompó mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mercado beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 60.000,00 versteigert wurde.
