Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Spanish At Work And Play On The Patio by Manuel García y Rodríguez. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 26,200.00 (€ 16,829.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel García y Rodríguez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish At Work And Play On The Patio von Manuel García y Rodríguez zur Versteigerung kam.
