In May 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Spanish procesión De Semana Santa En La Callle Mateos Gago, Sevilla (Easter Procession In Mateos Gago Street, Seville) by Manuel García y Rodríguez. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,446.33), 53% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel García y Rodríguez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden), which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).

Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish procesión De Semana Santa En La Callle Mateos Gago, Sevilla (Easter Procession In Mateos Gago Street, Seville) von Manuel García y Rodríguez zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.446,33) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel García y Rodríguez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 60.500,00 (€ 84.715,65) versteigert wurde.
