Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Spanish on A Sevillian Patio by Manuel García y Rodríguez. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,331.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel García y Rodríguez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden), which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 60,500.00 (€ 84,715.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish on A Sevillian Patio von Manuel García y Rodríguez zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.331,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel García y Rodríguez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Patio De La Villa (The Villa Garden) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 60.500,00 (€ 84.715,65) versteigert wurde.
