In June 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans Titre, 1972 by Manuel Cargaleiro. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,020.00 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Cargaleiro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Medina, 1980 in March 2009 with an auction result of EUR 40,193.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1972 von Manuel Cargaleiro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.020,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Cargaleiro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Medina, 1980 im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.193,00.
