Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Personnage, 1955 by Manuel Cargaleiro for EUR 386.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art - Australian Aboriginal Art at Artcurial and was even below the estimate range of EUR 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Cargaleiro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Medina, 1980 in March 2009 with an auction result of EUR 40,193.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Personnage, 1955 von Manuel Cargaleiro für EUR 386,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art - Australian Aboriginal Art bei Artcurial erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Cargaleiro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Medina, 1980 im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.193,00.
