Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition, 1968 by Manuel Cargaleiro was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June 2009. The price achieved of EUR 10,201.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manuel Cargaleiro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Medina, 1980, which sold at auction in March 2009 for EUR 40,193.00.

Die Arbeit Composition, 1968 von Manuel Cargaleiro kam im Juni 2009 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.201,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Manuel Cargaleiro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Medina, 1980 beobachtet, die im März 2009 für EUR 40.193,00 versteigert wurde.
