This artwork by Manuel Álvarez Bravo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April 2011. In the Photographs auction, the work La Tolteca sold for USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,795.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Álvarez Bravo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De L'Éternel, Mexico 1935 in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 228,750.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Manuel Álvarez Bravo erzielte im April 2011 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit La Tolteca für USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.795,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Álvarez Bravo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De L'Éternel, Mexico 1935 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.750,00.
