Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images by Manuel Álvarez Bravo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 12,700.00 (€ 11,503.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Álvarez Bravo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De L'Éternel, Mexico 1935 in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 228,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selected Images von Manuel Álvarez Bravo kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 11.503,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Álvarez Bravo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De L'Éternel, Mexico 1935 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 228.750,00.
