This artwork by Manoucher Yektai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Untitled (Tomato Plant) sold for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 94,904.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manoucher Yektai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life, which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 165,500.00 (€ 192,560.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 82 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manoucher Yektai erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Tomato Plant) für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 94.904,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Manoucher Yektai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 165.500,00 (€ 192.560,35) versteigert wurde.
