Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Cuadro 121 by Manolo Millares. The price achieved of GBP 416,750.00 (€ 475,176.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manolo Millares - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Composition) Painting no. 4, which sold at auction in June 2016 for GBP 842,500.00 (€ 1,011,274.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cuadro 121 von Manolo Millares zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 416.750,00 (€ 475.176,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Manolo Millares mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Composition) Painting no. 4 beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für GBP 842.500,00 (€ 1.011.274,93) versteigert wurde.
