A top price for Manolo Millares - as previously expected
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Untitled (Composition) Painting no. 4 by Manolo Millares. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300,000.00 – 40,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 842,500.00 (€ 1,011,274.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Composition) Painting no. 4 is the most expensive artwork by Manolo Millares that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Composition) Painting no. 4 von Manolo Millares zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300.000,00 – 40.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 842.500,00 (€ 1.011.274,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Composition) Painting no. 4 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Manolo Millares, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
