The work Shepherd by Mané-Katz was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. It achieved a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,531.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 48%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mané-Katz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wedding in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).

Die Arbeit Shepherd von Mané-Katz kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.531,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mané-Katz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wedding im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
