Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Paysage Aux Barques - 1930 by Mané-Katz. The price achieved of EUR 1,837.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mané-Katz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wedding in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage Aux Barques - 1930 von Mané-Katz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.837,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mané-Katz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wedding im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
