Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jewish boy by Mané-Katz was sold in the Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,488.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mané-Katz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wedding in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 145,875.00 (€ 170,262.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jewish boy von Mané-Katz wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Ecole de Paris 1905-1939, The Jewish Artists bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.488,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mané-Katz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wedding im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.875,00 (€ 170.262,25).
