Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Thoughts to paper by Malthe Engelsted for GBP 420.00 (€ 633.68). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Malthe Engelsted have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afternoon frolics in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,759.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Thoughts to paper von Malthe Engelsted für GBP 420,00 (€ 633,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malthe Engelsted auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afternoon frolics im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.759,98).
