This artwork by Malthe Engelsted achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bruun Rasmussen in July this year. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work A sitting male nude sold for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 938.84) - well above the upper estimate of DKK 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Malthe Engelsted - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon frolics, which sold at auction in November 2002 for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,759.98).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Malthe Engelsted erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wurde die Arbeit A sitting male nude für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 938,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von DKK 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Malthe Engelsted mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afternoon frolics beobachtet, die im November 2002 für GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.759,98) versteigert wurde.
