Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piano Lesson by Malcolm Drummond was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,751.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Malcolm Drummond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Sewing On A Couch in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,645.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Piano Lesson von Malcolm Drummond kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.751,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malcolm Drummond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Sewing On A Couch im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.645,54).
