Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British & Irish Art, which included the work Girl sitting at a writing table by Malcolm Drummond. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,816.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Malcolm Drummond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Sewing On A Couch in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,645.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl sitting at a writing table von Malcolm Drummond zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.816,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malcolm Drummond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Sewing On A Couch im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.645,54).
