Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girls At A Piano by Malcolm Drummond was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,629.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Malcolm Drummond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman Sewing On A Couch in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,645.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girls At A Piano von Malcolm Drummond kam im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.629,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malcolm Drummond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman Sewing On A Couch im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.645,54).
