The work Unknown by Makoto Aida was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2014. The auction ended at the price of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 55,803.89), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Makoto Aida have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B) in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 2,900,000.00 (€ 249,499.80).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Makoto Aida kam im April 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 55.803,89) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Makoto Aida auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B) im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.900.000,00 (€ 249.499,80).
