In October 2010 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Edible Artificial Girls, Mi-Mi Chan Series (Set Of 8) by Makoto Aida. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,383.15), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Makoto Aida achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B) in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 2,900,000.00 (€ 249,499.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Edible Artificial Girls, Mi-Mi Chan Series (Set Of 8) von Makoto Aida zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.383,15) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Makoto Aida erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B) im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.900.000,00 (€ 249.499,80).
