Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work Space Knife by Makoto Aida. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 123,979.83). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Makoto Aida - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B), which sold at auction in November 2009 for HKD 2,900,000.00 (€ 249,499.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Space Knife von Makoto Aida zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 123.979,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Makoto Aida mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ZAKU- (War Picture Returns- Side B) beobachtet, die im November 2009 für HKD 2.900.000,00 (€ 249.499,80) versteigert wurde.
