Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maiko Kobayashi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work In Between Oneself and Others #18 sold for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,106.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maiko Kobayashi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Between Oneself and Others #1, which sold at auction in July last year for HKD 277,200.00 (€ 34,588.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maiko Kobayashi erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit In Between Oneself and Others #18 für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.106,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Maiko Kobayashi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Between Oneself and Others #1 beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für HKD 277.200,00 (€ 34.588,86) versteigert wurde.
