Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Don't Paint Me, Black #7 by Maiko Kobayashi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,378.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maiko Kobayashi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In Between Oneself and Others #1 in July last year with an auction result of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 34,588.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Don't Paint Me, Black #7 von Maiko Kobayashi kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.378,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maiko Kobayashi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In Between Oneself and Others #1 im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 34.588,86).
