The work Untitled (from the 'Mother of the National Hero' series) by Mahmoud Sabri was sold in the Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art auction at Christies in November 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 237,500.00 (€ 278,847.35), 32% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Sabri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 668,750.00 (€ 762,505.90).

Die Arbeit Untitled (from the 'Mother of the National Hero' series) von Mahmoud Sabri wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Middle Eastern 20th and 21st Century Art bei Christies versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 237.500,00 (€ 278.847,35) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Sabri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grief beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 668.750,00 (€ 762.505,90) versteigert wurde.
