Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Builders by Mahmoud Sabri was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,469.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Sabri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grief in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 762,505.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Builders von Mahmoud Sabri wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.469,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Sabri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grief im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 668.750,00 (€ 762.505,90).
