In October 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Iraqijnazet (Funeral) by Mahmoud Sabri. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 346,000.00 (€ 390,181.26), 57% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mahmoud Sabri; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Grief sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 762,505.90).

Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iraqijnazet (Funeral) von Mahmoud Sabri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 346.000,00 (€ 390.181,26) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mahmoud Sabri; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Grief im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 668.750,00 (€ 762.505,90).
