Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rural family by Mahmoud Sabri was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 151,200.00 (€ 175,207.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mahmoud Sabri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grief in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 762,505.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rural family von Mahmoud Sabri kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 151.200,00 (€ 175.207,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahmoud Sabri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grief im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 668.750,00 (€ 762.505,90).
