This artwork by Mahmoud Moussa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work without title sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 32,183.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mahmoud Moussa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Egyptian Woman sold at auction in March 2016 with the realized price of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,093.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahmoud Moussa erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 43.750,00 (€ 32.183,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mahmoud Moussa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Egyptian Woman im März 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.093,06).
