Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Mumbai in December 2015. In the The India Sale auction, the work Untitled (Seated Lady) sold for INR 2,750,000.00 (€ 38,240.17) - well above the upper estimate of INR 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twenty Watercolours Depicting Scenes Of Bombay, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,767.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in Mumbai einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
