Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Water Well) by Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,940.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty Watercolours Depicting Scenes Of Bombay in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,767.13).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Water Well) von Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.940,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
